Back to Leitrim this week. With Philip this time. The walk is a B+ walk.We will be out for well over 4 hours over forest track and rough mountain terrain. About 18km long with some climbing. (450m) You will need good boots, gaiters and all the other accoutrements associated with a long walk. Plenty of fluid, grub, raingear etc. We will meet up with Philip at 10:30 at a place to park, off the R200, East of Dowra. ie coming from Drumkeeran. It's on the right hand side of the road. So yes, meet here at 10:30 and if you are coming, it would be a good idea to give Philip a buzz 086 335 300 and he could coordinate car pooling..
Now the other walk is always a popular C walk up Knocknashee and thence to Court Abbey a Franciscan Friary. Clare is kindly leading this. You can meet Clare at the Homeland store, Achonry on the N59 at 12 midday (F56 R275) Bring a bit of lunch, a drink, sturdy boots or shoes and enjoy the day. Clare...086 366 1307
