Walk Sunday August 8th 2021
Posted on: Fri 6th August 1:34am
Nephin or Neifinn was planned for Sunday. Neifinn translates to Heavenly, or Sanctuary but I'm afraid it will neither be a sanctuary or heavenly on Sunday, with high winds forecast and I don't suppose anyone fancies getting blown off the top.
But anyway, weather won't stop the Curlews and Philip has planned another trip nearer home and lower down.
This walk is about 15km with 300m of a climb. Lough Arrow (Loch Arbhach) through Highwood to Ballyfarnon. (Beal Atha Fearnain) Ford mouth of the elders.
We will be out for up to 5 hours. Sure, it can't be bad all day.
Meet at McDermott's pub, Castlebaldwin at 10:30am. Any queries?? Phone Philip 086 335 3000
