Ah now. Is it summer or not? But hey, better this than 40 degrees in unrelenting sun. But do you know what is promised for Mweelrea this weekend? High winds and rain. So that rules Connemara walks on Mweelrea and Silver Strand out this time anyway.
But Philip has sussed out another walk, more local. It will be a C grade walk.Starting at Leitrim canal, following this to Kilclare, a loop to Sheemore hill and back to Leitrim.
about 13km with a small climb, this walk is suitable for all.
Meeting point is Kilarcan Lock.(16) At Leitrim village, turn off the main street at the bridge and traffic lights. (Yes, there are traffic lights in Leitrim ) After 300m, turn left to the lock.
