Just a bit of a switch this week. We have brought the Sligo way walk forward from the 22nd March and the Bog road to mines will be on the 22nd March instead.
SO, read carefully..... This is a linear walk hence we need to have cars at both ends. Coupled with this, for those who wish to bow out at the halfway mark (Slish Wood) there will have to be cars there too. The walk this time will be from Dromahair to Slish Wood and then to Union Wood. Dromahair to Slish approx 10km. From Slish Wood to Union, 10km..
We will meet at the trailhead carpark on the R284. (Not the one on the slip road to Ballisodare) but on the other side of the road. So here shall we meet at 10:30 to organise cars. We need to know who is going, and how many cars we will have and who is doing what, and that's where it gets complicated. Can you let Naomi know 1) If you are going 2) If you will have a car and 3) If you are doing the short or the longer route as we will need a car(s) in Slish Wood to accommodate those doing the shorter walk. The track will be muddy at some point so boots would come in very handy. Bring your lunch and appropriate gear and see you then.
