Just a slight tweak in the calendar this week, but all good. Hopefully we will do Croagh Patrick some other time, but meanwhile, Denise and Caroline will be leading you through the pleasant pastures around the Knockvicar area. Namely, meet at a pub and end up in the pub! Probably with a drink in mind. So, for this walk, meet at Crescent, Boyle 12 midday, or Clancy's Bar, on the R285, Knockvicar at 12:30. (Eircode F52 HP86) From here the ladies will take you for a varied walk, on hilly roads and woodlands for which boots are advisable. It is about 12km long and the time taken coincides with the opening of Clancy's in case you might be thirsty. So that is something to look forward to. Contact, is Denise 086 234 2999
ALSO, Naomi has plans to take some guests to the Barytes mines on the Dartry plateau. You are welcome to join Naomi for this walk. It will be a tougher walk, involving climbing and rough terrain and boots advisable for this too. If you wish to go you might let Naomi know. The plan is to meet in the carpark at Glencar Teashed.
