Well, ladies and gentlemen
The walk on Sunday is over Cummeen Strand, around Coney Island. About 12-14km, flat walk. Eoin is leading this walk, past an oyster farm, a boat wreck and on the island is a wishing chair. Lunch on the island and a swim if you want.
It is an early start due to the tides. 08:45 at the end of the Mill road. Take the Strandhill road from Sligo town (R292) and about 2 miles (3.25km) there is a sign GAA Centre of Excellence and just after this there is a turn to the right signposted Coney Island. This is the road and we will meet there at 08.45.
Myself, I am wearing wellies over to the island because sea water is no good for shoes and I am bringing a pair of walking shoes to change in to the other side and leaving the wellies to wear back.
In compliance with etc etc, we will be noting names in case of, you know what.
Remember bikinis or whatever else you want to swim in.
It maybe an early start, but it is worth getting up for, so hopefully we will see you there.
