Open weekend, please spread the word that all are welcome to join our walks this weekend Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September. Both days we will meet on the Crescent in Boyle at 11am.



Saturday walks programme.

Level C. Castlebaldwin to Balinafad , route will follow the historical trail over the Bricklieve Mts, length 12km with 200m climb, time 3 to 4 hours.

Level A.Castlebaldwin to Boyle, route will follow the historical trail over the Bricklieve and Curlew Mts, length 18km with 400m climb. Water proof boots needed for the Curlews, time 6 hours approx.



Sunday walks programme.

Level C.Keadue to Crossna, route will follow the historical trail past Lough Meelagh on to the Bogside Inn and then on to Crossna, length 12km with 200m climb, 3 to 4 hours.

Level A. Keadue to Boyle, route will follow the historical trail past Lough Meelagh on to the Bogside Inn and then on to Crossna.From Crossna we continue on the Historical trail through Knockvicar on through Lough key Forest Park and we finish the walk in Boyle. length 18km with 500m climb, time 6 hours approx.




For reasons of safety and personal comfort, all members and guests walking with the club must have the following basic items of equipment: Strong waterproof boots, Waterproof clothing and a walking stick, Woollen hat and gloves, Adequate food and liquids, A whistle and a rucksack for all items.
